Falco Solar: every call answered, every site visit booked

7 min read · Published 2026-10-06

The problem

In Lahore's solar market the phone decides who wins the job. Homeowners and commercial buyers call when the question lands, and they call the next company on the list if nobody picks up. Falco Solar was answering about 60 percent of calls. The other four in ten went to competitors, and callers rarely dial twice.

The phone desk had grown to nine people and still could not cover the day. Site visits were booked a day or two later, by which point the enthusiasm had cooled. Commercial leads waited in the same queue as a homeowner asking about a rooftop system.

Where the work was really going

The pattern on every call was the same. Three details decide a solar quote: roof size, usage and location. A person collected them verbally, wrote them up later and passed them on. The duplication was not the only cost. A site visit booked 24 to 48 hours after the call often meant a second round of phone tag before anyone saw a roof.

So the plan wrote itself. Answer every call, collect the three details on the call and book the visit before it ends.

What we built

  • Inbound voice answering in Urdu and English. Every call answered in the caller's language, with no queue.
  • Lead qualification on the call: roof size, usage and location, so the site visit starts informed.
  • Instant site-visit booking. A qualified lead leaves the call with a visit in the diary and a confirmation in writing.
  • Commercial lead routing to management, with the qualification attached.
  • CRM logging. Every call, detail and outcome written into the CRM as it happens, with nobody typing it up later.

Going live without disrupting the week

The line went live in both languages from the first call, and the CRM records came across as the calls happened. Installers kept working. The difference they noticed was in the diary: visits arriving with the roof details already attached.

What changed

The numbers below come from this deployment.

  • The answer rate rose from 60 percent to 99 percent.
  • The number of people needed on phones dropped from nine to three.
  • Site visits are now booked on the call instead of 24 to 48 hours later.
  • Installer utilisation rose 30 percent.

Management hears about commercial jobs immediately, with the qualification already done. The rest of the team spends its day on roofs instead of phones.

If this sounds familiar

A phone-first market punishes slow answers more than expensive ones. If calls are going to voicemail while your competitors pick up, the fix is coverage, and coverage does not have to mean a bigger phone desk.
